Artwork Description
These images are from an unpublished book I've written and illustrated. It's a story about a young lion who loves playing with stray cats, much to the disappointment of his parents who regard him as too silly to become the future King. It's a metaphor for my desire to become an artist and leave my medical career, while being discouraged by doctors to whom art was inferior to science. It is about the impact on mental health of remaining true to oneself while trying to meet the expectations...
