Artwork Description
This work is adapted from the short story of the same name. The combat between men and heaven is symbolically represented as a chess game. The images’ chromatic theme is taken from the black and white elements of the Go chessboard. The two dragons fighting each other are an allegory of a fierce confrontation that takes place on the surface.
