« When the sky is grey, I want to be brilliant and shiny » says Valentin to his mother. On rainy mornings, he wears in buttercup yellow. He has chosen one for each of his friends, like a colour palette of friendship. That is his own alphabet, his secret language. Aline’s colour is golden because her eyes turn golden when she smiles. Aline likes to wait for Valentin at the bottom of his building to go to school, and her smile makes even the rainiest day look like there is sunshine.
