Artwork Description
This work is inspired by a real story—“Heroic Sisters of the Grassland”—which took place in Inner Mongolia in the 1960s. The illustrations revisit the original characters and environment, and deconstructs the story’s formal language to come up with a modern understanding and aesthetic of heroism.
