“White Marble Color-Painted Relief Scene of Musicians Playing” is a color-painted relief sculpture from the Five Dynasties period, depicting a lively musical performance by an orchestra in the Five Dynasties period. The sculpture carries the lingering charm of the Tang Dynasty. It seems like one can hear the melodious music just by looking at the relief. This work incorporates the elements of the rabbit—the Chinese zodiac animal of 2023, to increase awareness of China’s history and culture.
