Playing outside, socializing with neighbors, being greeted by the aromas of people's dinners, music and TV flowing outside, peeking into glimpses of others’ lives. For a century, Milan's railing houses have preserved their capacity as gathering places and a microcosm of sociality. Illustration for The Milaneser, a fictional magazine project which is a tribute to The New Yorker magazine and the city of Milan.
