Valentina's mother has passed away, and she spends a lot of time near a tree, the place where she most wants to be. She thinks that the tree is sad and in her attempt to cheer it up, Valentina will live many adventures. The illustrations propose a narrative sequence parallel to the text, where the girl helps a bird to build her nest braided from branches and tender words that they collect together.
