Marcus' joy over his new pair of shoes reminds him of an old story about a boy named Ariba. Ariba has the most unusual relationship with an extraordinary pair of shoes. No matter how many times he tries to get rid of his shoes, they always seem to find their way back to him. The story has a subtle intergenerational angle that comes from the tale which reminds us about tolerance, empathy, losing yourself and finding a place where the new and the old can co-exist.
From the moment Marcus put on his new shoes, he couldn’t stop moving.
